In-house Workshops are Cost Effective. Where there are a number of staff for the same training course organisations are finding in-house workshops a very cost effective alternative to the public workshop. By conducting the workshop in-house we are able to tailor it to meet organisational needs. In most cases the tailoring requires minimal work and therefore there is no added cost. For some workshops the case studies can be work related and without doubt there will be a focus on how the lessons learned can be applied in every day organisational life.
To maximise the learning exchange we like to limit the maximum number to 16. This ensures good trainer/participant interaction. Group work is an important ingredient and a maximum of 16 ensures all groups and participants are involved.
With in-house workshops all course materials are provided by Success Solutions while the client organisation provides a suitable conference/training room. It is ideal if the training can be conducted off site either in another client building or training centre. This makes it very difficult for participants to 'hop in the lift' and go back to their desk to check the status of outstanding tasks. While at the workshop participants need to be able to forget about work and concentrate on the subject.
Morning and afternoon teas and lunch are very important and we recommend the client provide them. These events keep the group together and from experience some of the greatest learning has occurred at the lunch table.
